Many of my Barbie photographs make fun art pieces. This page is dedicated to these, and I invite you to behold some of my personal favorites...
"Barbie Goes Mod for Palm Springs"
(The exhibit theme that never materialized due to the COVID-19 lockdown.)
"Barbie Goes POP!"
... And Misty agrees!
"Twistin' for Pride"
In 2016 my doll photography went on exhibit in San Diego. It's such a big step to put your art work out on public display but oh, so worth it. This would be the first of many exhibits to come.
I actively spent six years putting my Barbie photo art on exhibit. I would do three to four exhibits a year, creating around a dozen original pieces for each one, often with a theme. Above photo: This themec from 2018 was called "Barbie Goes Pop!" It was always such a thrill to see my photography as art pieces for the first time.!
I stopped doing exhibits when everything was locked down in 2020 due to COVID, and focused my photography mainly on my book, Behold the Valley of the Dolls.
"A Nod to Mod"
"Barbie Goes Hollywood"
My photography looks great as wall art ...
"The Pride Project"
