This sweetheart is the ultimate Valentines Barbie. She is dressed fancifully in a gown covered with velvety red hearts and heart-shaped bodice. Her accessories include love notes, heart stickers, and an “I Love You” stamper and pencil (below).

​2009 My Favorite Barbie 

Most collectors are grateful for these reproductions as it allows them to buy vintage Barbie dolls wearing period fashions in mint condition and at a affordable cost.

​1984 Loving You Barbie 

Allan Sherwood arrives on the scene as Midge’s sweetheart and Ken’s buddy. Now they can go on double dates alongside Barbie and Ken to the beach, ball games, sock hops, and for malts at the local Sweet Shop (Allan likes vanilla, Midge prefers chocolate).​

Fun Fact: Almost 60 years after his introduction (and on the brink of obscurity), Allan (played by actor Michael Cera) is the breakout star of the blockbuster Barbie movie in 2023. The Allan doll is a “must-have” for the new generation of Barbie collectors, causing its cost to spike at vintage doll sites and leading to bidding wars between buyers on eBay. ​
